Description

Oh I did my happy dance today folks here it is the last of my Tragic monster woman by Morganagod and it is amazing, and I hope he will pardon me a bit as I keep dancing in glee for a little while longer. All thou I will be sad later since this is the last one he owes me which means no more art until I scrape up the money and get some more in the works, I do hope that he enjoyed my requests I know it's just a money thing at it's most basic but I do try on occasion to request some thing other than the normal fan requests.

So here's the exact request I gave to him for this picture.

"What I wanted was a Yuki-onna, or the Japanese snow woman as they are also called. The picture I wanted of her was her looking like she was waiting for some one holding a scarf or such as she waits longingly for there return.

A story I remember and associate with them at least in my mind not sure if I'm right or not could be mixing my monsters as it were but I like it and I'm getting way off subject yet again.

So the story is that she finds a man wandering the mountain during a terrible winter storm and lures him in like they do, but rather than kills him falls in love. She promises to spare him if he marries her and lives with her on the mountain promising him all sorts of things as the woman in such stories often do. The man accepts but ask that when the storm ends he be allowed to go back down the mountain one last time to see his family tell them that he's going off and getting married and such and she agrees, but says that should he not return he will face her wrath. Family cursed for a hundred generations that sort of thing. So the man sets off home once the storm parts now here the story often goes two ways one the man doesn't come back and all hell breaks loose with various other shifts in the story. The one I prefer is number two the man keeps his word and through various trials returns to the snow woman keeping his word and they both find happiness.

So the as I said the picture I want is of the snow woman waiting for the mans return holding some token of affection of his as she waits. My only real request with the picture be one that the woman be Japanese I.E. looks asian and two she be wearing a kimono beyond that do as you want all thou i would like some detail to the kimono not just a flat one color job as they are often described as being very well dressed in many stories."

And I have to say he captured it amazingly well and I hope you all agree with that line of thought, and I am happy with this the last of my tragic monster woman all thou I do promise I am thinking up some more ideas and I hope I can find the cash to get Morganagod to paint them as well for me or at least draw if nothing else.

So enjoy the picture folks I know I will, and I am so making this the wallpaper for my computer.

She is beautiful, and so sad! I love the way her hair fades into the sky, and your muted use of colors.

Very interesting story, too. I like your more sympathetic take on her. It reminds me a little bit of Oyuki from the old T.V. show Urusei Yatsura. She was a snow alien from Neptune based on the Yuki Onna.
