And here is the second piece of art I commissioned TheBoo to draw that I purchased during his Christmas sale, and a funny story with this one for the first picture my whole description/request amounted to like 2 lines. For this one it was like 3 paragraphs as I had a very clear picture of what I wanted for this bit of art. And he was like "what the heck so much info so many details!" Ah man it was a bit of a laugh fortunately he was a good sport about it.
Now I will admit I am a bit of a trekkie I have a love hate relationship with the series, one of my loves is a race while mentioned at times and that appears in the animated series never really made it into the movie or such beyond very brief cameos. And that race is the Caitian I mean I didn't even know they existed until I stumbled on them years ago in some of the fan books they put out giving information on races and planets and what not.
And I'll admit I fell in love with em and I swore to myself that I would have one in my collection and I choose TheBoo to create her... since hey I am a guy I want a lady not a guy one. Now for you Trekkies out there I am sure you will point out that her legs and feet are wrong well bite me I don't care. This is why I call her a star trek cat girl rather than a Caitian true and proper but she is more than close enough to make me happy.
As for the pose well I wanted some thing a bit different a bit more realistic you could say, so I had him add a couple things to the picture namely the utility belt and a pair of ass kicking boots. I mean for any one that watch's the series how often do the away teams beam down to a planet with only a phasor and a tricorder and it drives me nuts. I mean how many people do they lose because no one has a freaking first aid kit on them or such how many red shirts would still be alive if they were a bit better geared. So I said not my red shirt oh no she's got that extra gear and it shows here she's alive a bit roughed up hot tired and sweaty but alive.
